Eating Disorder Registered Dietitians in Edmonton

Nourish your body and your worth

We support you to improve your relationship with food so you can live a full and joyful life.

We are a team of eating disorder dietitians supporting folks in Edmonton who want a more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. You may be living with disordered eating, an eating disorder, or a persistent sense that something does not feel right around food. Many of the people we work with spend a lot of time thinking about eating, feel stuck in cycles of control or shame, or question whether their struggles are serious enough to reach out for support. You are not alone in feeling this way, and you do not need a diagnosis to work with us.

Our team provides compassionate, weight-inclusive nutrition care for adults, adolescents, and families in Edmonton and across Alberta. We practice from a non-diet approach that centres respect, curiosity, and your lived experience. Whether you are ready for a change, already working with a therapist, or supporting a young person who needs nourishment and care, our dietitians are here to support you at a pace that feels right.

What We Offer

  • Our Registered dietitians provide medical nutrition therapy through a weight-inclusive lens for humans living with chronic health conditions. This may include diagnoses such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia.

  • Intuitive Eating is one of the frameworks that informs our work as intuitive eating dietitians. This approach supports cultivating a more peaceful relationship with food, mind, and body, while rebuilding trust in your body’s signals. In practice, Intuitive Eating involves stepping away from diet culture and exploring your own definition of health, guided by curiosity, compassion, and your body’s innate wisdom.

  • Our sessions often include conversations about body image and the broader systems that shape how bodies are treated in our society. We recognize that food struggles do not exist in isolation and that many people are navigating a world that does not feel welcoming to their bodies. Our eating disorder dietitians hold space to explore these experiences, challenge harmful norms, and support clients in finding ways to exist more safely and comfortably in their bodies.

  • Our eating disorder dietitians support individuals experiencing eating disorders or disordered eating, whether or not a diagnosis is present. We strive to create a safer space free from judgment of body size, shape, colour, sexuality, ethnicity, gender identity, age, cultural background, ability or food choices. This commitment is woven into our values and beliefs, and we enjoy working with a full spectrum of humanity in our work. You do not need to feel “sick enough” to work with us. If food thoughts are interfering with daily life, support can be helpful. We also know that disordered eating is complex, and you deserve the most comprehensive support. We can help you make connections with other health care providers within our network, such as physicians and psychologists.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to work with our team. Many people seek support because food thoughts are taking up a lot of space, eating feels stressful, or something does not feel quite right in their relationship with food. Support can be helpful at any point, whether or not you have received a diagnosis.

  • There is no single “best” treatment for eating disorders. Care is most effective when it is individualized and takes into account a person’s medical needs, emotional well being, and lived experience. Working with a Registered dietitian as part of a supportive care team can help support nourishment, safety, and recovery over time.

  • Recovery looks different for everyone, and there is no set timeline. For some, change happens gradually, while for others it unfolds in stages over time. Working with a professional can support sustainable progress that respects your pace, readiness, and unique circumstances.
