Intuitive Eating Support Groups & Workshops

Support Groups

When you are experiencing disruption in your relationship with food and body, it can feel like you’re navigating it alone. Our support groups are a space to share stories with humans doing the same work and foster meaningful connections. Our groups create an inclusive space for you to share your experience and truly feel seen. We keep our groups small so we can hold brave, vulnerable space and grow together.

The Nourish Collective's Areas of Practice

Our Areas of Practice

  • We support humans in recovery and healing from disordered eating and eating disorders. These experiences exist on a spectrum. Wherever you land on this spectrum, you are likely experiencing disruption in your relationship with food, which can negatively impact your mental and physical well-being. We welcome you as your whole self and meet you exactly where you are at in your experience. Your experience is valid whether you have a diagnosis or not, and we are going to support you no matter what, always.

Common experiences from clients that signal a disruption in your relationship with food

    • Chronic dieting

    • Avoiding certain food groups without medical reason

    • Feeling guilt or shame for eating certain foods

    • Intentionally skipping meals

    • Following strict food rules or rituals

  • Intuitive Eating is one of the frameworks that informs our practice. Intuitive Eating is about cultivating a peaceful relationship with food, mind and body - it’s about learning to trust your body again. In practice, Intuitive Eating supports moving away from diet culture, toward your own definition of health, while learning to lean into your body's innate wisdom.

  • In our sessions we talk about much more than just food. Our food relationship does not exist in a vacuum. We recognize there are large systems at play that determine how certain bodies are treated in our society. We invite conversations about the complexities of existing in a body. We work with clients to seek accommodations for how to exist in a world that may not be welcoming their bodies. Your body is not the problem, it is years of body politics that uphold these larger systems at play. We hold space to challenge societal norms that uphold body hierarchy.

  • We support humans seeking nutrition therapy from a weight-inclusive lens for chronic health conditions. This could include a medical diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, Hypertension, Dyslipidemia (high cholesterol or high triglycerides).
